You should be receiving a reunion brochure in your mailbox in the next few days. Please review and register by June 26 with payment! We can't wait to hear from you!!

What to bring to the reunion

Please bring these items to the reunion:

• Lawn chairs
• Select some foods to bring and share: chips & dip, fruit (bananas, oranges, strawberries), salads, sandwich add-ins (lettuce, tomato, onion, mayo, cheese), homemade ice cream, berries or other toppings, corn on the cob, pies & cakes, scrambled egg fixin’s, and snacks.
• Swimsuits and beach towels
• Bath towels & washcloths, Sleeping bags & pillows (For those flying in: let us know and we’ll help you with these items)
• Sports equipment like corn-hole, softball, sidewalk chalk, fishing, water skiing, etc.
• Recipes from Grandma Lorena and favorites of Grandpa Elmer and recipes from your kitchens
• Family photos, both recent and from long ago
• An act, musical number, skit, poem, story, stunt, or dance to share for our variety show
• Auction items to raise funds for family reunion projects or future reunions
• Helpful hands and attitudes for meal prep and cleanup: “Fellowship in the Kitchen

Do not bring: fireworks, alcohol (smoking only in designated areas).

Come enjoy the weekend of July 11-13 connecting with your Detwiler family and relaxing at the Enchanted Hills Playhouse Retreat Center!

The Weekend at a Glance:

• Friday night campfire and storytelling
• Saturday 7 a.m. ski run, knee boarding, wake boarding, jet skiing
• Tubing, fishing, canoeing, volleyball, softball, etc.
• Evening Detwiler Family Variety Show, Late Night Cruise
• Sunday Morning Worship, Detwiler FamilyMeeting, Go-carts, Big golf cart rides
• Tournaments: Detwiler Olympics, Giant Dutch Blitz Game, Cousins Classic Disc Golf, Senior Siblings Croquet, and more fun stuff!

Special Reunion Fun:

• Get-to-know you activities and special Second Cousin bonding events
• Collecting recipes from Lorena Detwiler’s kitchen and recipes of her offspring
• Creation of a Detwiler Pictorial Directory (smile!)
• Update and display of the Elmer & Lorena Detwiler Family Tree
